The Education Programs and Events Coordinator plays a key role on the preventions team, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that RGC’s educational prevention efforts are executed to the highest standard. Reporting to the Associate Director, Education and Programs, you will be actively involved in RGC’s prevention/education programming and in event planning and delivery. This role works very closely with the Education Programs Manager, and on an as-needed basis with the Educational Events Lead/Manager leading up to in-market activations. The successful applicant thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys working with young people, is curious, and values keeping current on best practice for prevention programming across a range of demographics but particularly for youth and young adults.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Education, Event & Community Engagement Programming 65%**:
**Program Activations**: Lead various components associated with activations including:

- _Schedule creation_: Work closely with external contacts in a professional and respectful manner to schedule and organize educational program visits across Ontario.
- _Program delivery/management_: including but not limited to - organizing and maintaining school/event visit(s) documentation, coordinating travel and accommodations for ambassadors, program logistics, developing and designing display booth materials and resources, and ambassador training and development.
- _Communications_: Working collaboratively with Managers/Associate Directors and other internal team members to develop communications and key programming messages, training materials for brand ambassadors, articles for e-newsletters, etc.
- _Feedback and Evaluation_: Track and analyze key performance metrics related to the programs for MoH and RGC reporting.
- Prepare regular progress reports for Associate Director, Education and Programs, and Education Programs Manager, including recommendations for program improvements.
- Conduct post program evaluations to assess overall effectiveness, lessons learned, and recommendations for future programs.
- _Budgeting_: Work closely with the Education Programs Manager to develop and review project timelines, budget and resources needed.

**Other Programming**:

- Assist the Associate Director, Education and Programs and Education Programs Manager as new program opportunities are being developed. This can include the creation of resource kits, innovative prevention programs for external clients, and other educational endeavours such as webinars, training modules, etc. that support the Youth and Young Adults strategy.
- On occasion, support the Associate Director, Community Outreach and Partnerships by representing RGC at public and private meetings, making connections with organizations and their leaderships, and bringing back relevant insights for consideration.

**Administration & Support 35%**:

- Educational Events_
- Active member of the annual Discovery conference planning committee.
- Work with the Educational Events Lead/Manager and/or Education Programs Manager on administration and/or planning needs for a variety of events which can include The Partnership’s Symposium, Annual Meeting and Think Tanks, Prevention Program’s Provincial/Regional Roundtables, industry roundtables as well as other conferences as needed i.e. schedule meetings, attend meetings and create meeting notes, assist with registration, onsite duties including attendee management, tracking of fees, payments to suppliers/speakers, etc. reimbursement processes.
- Conferences_
- Investigate and maintain current roster of annual/bi-annual conferences for youth and young adults.
- Assist with RFP’s for speaking engagements at a variety of conferences.
- Represent RGC at various conferences including managing and staffing exhibit hall displays, and active engagement with attendees to build and maintain partnerships.
- Inventory Management and Support_
- Maintain program(s) inventory in storage units at the RGC office.
- Proactively update inventory lists on a regular basis.
- Contact external suppliers to quote on collateral, when inventory is low
- Provide summary of quotes from vendors to Associate Director and/or Education Programs Manager/ Events Program Manager.
