This position, reporting directly to the Operations Manager, is responsible for the daily maintenance activities of the property and buildings maintained by the company. This is a very hands-on position that involves duties including tenant relations, maintenance and repair, security, janitorial services, landscaping, snow removal, garbage collection, etc. The Building Maintenance Tech is charged with carrying out the daily scheduled duty tasks as well as any unscheduled jobs that may arise, in a safe and environmentally sound manner keeping in mind management’s goals and objectives.

**Responsibilities/Duties**
- Minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC tasks.
- Landscaping/grounds keeping.
- Painting interior & exterior where and when required.
- Snow clearing/salting around building’s walkways, steps and entrances as required.
- Provide excellent tenant service. Ensure all assigned tenant requests/problems are responded to in a timely and courteous manner.
- Report and/or repair any deficiencies found within the properties.
- Report property damage and vandalism. Take pictures as required for the record.
- Maintain effective relationships with fellow associates, suppliers, vendors, and others serving the company or properties.
- Coordinate with contractors on tasks to be quoted. Request purchase orders.
- Inform management of all emergency situations promptly.
- Comply with appropriate and applicable policies and procedures.
- Properly operate company vehicles, equipment and assets with care and attention.
- Properly use personal safety gear and equipment when required and as necessary.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Proven experience in general maintenance (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
- Basic knowledge of landscaping and groundskeeping.
- Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks on buildings and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with tenants, contractors, and fellow employees.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and shoveling snow
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Willingness to be on-call during evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotating schedule.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly.
- Experience with safety protocols and using personal protective equipment.
- Good organizational skills to keep track of tasks and schedules.
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance or facilities management role is preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and have attention to detail.
- Bilingual (French/English) is essential.

**Benefits & Salary**
- Salary will be commensurate with experience
- Entitled to accrue vacation of two (2) weeks (10 business days) per year
- Entitled to eleven (11) public paid holidays
