- In this role, you will:_
- Engage in Quality Assurance (QA) activities within Babcock Canada’s Marine Sector.
- Support the development and continual improvement of our Quality Management System (QMS).
- Support both the Marine and Corporate QA Internal Audit programs.
- Assume an Internal Lead Auditor role, and perform process audits on Marine-related QMS documents to help ensure their suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness.
- Create and release Audit Reports, then assist in managing the identified Nonconformities and Opportunities for Improvement.
- Support revision and release efforts for Marine’s existing process documents (e.g. Plans, Procedures, Templates, and Forms), as well as the creation of new ones.
- Support Marine QA’s reporting efforts, including progress on audit and finding management efforts, Objectives and Targets, Key Performance Indicators, and from other _ad hoc_ initiatives.
- Help prepare for and contribute to the Marine QA departmental meetings, as well as other required meetings.
- Assist with the planning and execution of external audits.
- Assist with worksite QA activities if/ as required.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- An ISO 9001:2015 _Quality Management Systems_ certificate.
- A minimum of two years experience either as a Team or Lead auditor.
- Experience with ISO 45001:2018 _Health and Safety Management Systems_, and/or 14001:2015 _Environmental Management Systems_ is considered an asset.
- Experience in the marine industry is also considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce quality results within specified timeframes.
- Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date).
- Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
