**Key Responsibilities**
- Creates and implements an annual plan including but not limited to athlete development programs, training templates and schedules, curricula, coaching methodology, and assessment criteria for all levels.
- Available to coach on deck approximately 15 hours a week during planned workout hours.
- Accompanies Masters swimmers and attends local and provincial meets.
- Creates and implements plans for recruiting new and diverse athletes of all ages to the Program.
- Ensures compliance with principles, policies, and guidelines of Swimming Canada, FNQ, SafeSport guidelines, and the rules, regulations, and requirements for participating in competition at the local, regional, provincial, and national levels.
- Develops and enforces risk management processes and practices that provide adequate safeguards and makes recommendations to the appropriate person.
- Provides direction to the program coordinator for pool/facility bookings and steps in as needed to implement adjustments (e.g., in the case of unexpected circumstances).
- Contributes content for the website and posts for the program’s social media accounts.

**Qualifications**
- NCCP level 1 coaching certification or equivalent
- A minimum of three years of swim coaching experience, with progressive responsibilities.
- Experience coaching master’s teams is an asset.
- Outstanding leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- A good understanding of Swimming Canada’s Athlete Development Plan.
- A clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification. NLS certification considered an asset.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.Written and oral communication skills in English and French.
