**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations and procedures by holding animals and preparing necessary equipment.
- Perform laboratory tasks, including collecting samples for testing and conducting basic laboratory procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilizing instruments and cleaning examination rooms.
- Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort during visits.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' health and treatment plans.
- Administer medications as directed by veterinarians and monitor animal recovery post-treatment.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Provide reception coverage as needed.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a related field is preferred.
- Strong interest in animal care and welfare is essential.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift and handle animals of various sizes safely.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.33-$19.41 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
