What will you do?
- Act as a strategic business partner, coach and consultant for all aspects of HR
- Understand the business challenges and objectives of these departments in order to drive a proactive approach to human resources and Team Member/labour relations
- Analyze people trends and issues in client groups and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Partner with the various Corporate Function’s VPs, Directors and people managers in business planning and organizational change initiatives
- Work with client groups to identify, design and execute strategies that drive business results which may include succession planning, talent management, Team Member/labour relations, performance management, team member engagement, recruitment and selection, delivering training and team-building
- Provide expertise and guidance to support client groups in areas such as: Team Member/labour relations, legal and procedural compliance, workplace policies, and problem prevention
- Through knowledge transfer, increase the ability of business unit managers and teams to handle these issues independently
- Lead various HR projects, programs and initiatives
- As a key member of the Organizational Development Leadership Team contribute to the overall strategic direction of HR for the busines
- Provide day-to-day guidance to management on Team Member/labour issues, manage grievances and participate in arbitrations
- Occasional travel to branch locations

- A leader: the incumbent will have the ability to think beyond the human resources function and contribute to the overall success of the business
- Proven track record of building strong client relationships with all levels of management to improve business results
- Developed knowledge in all HR fields and particularly in Team Member relations, talent management/succession planning, leadership development, performance management, and attraction, selection and Team Member experience
- Thorough knowledge of employment and related legislation (e.g. Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act, Employment Equity legislation, etc.)
- Strong project management skills
- Highly organized self-starter with a demonstrated ability to multi-task priorities and assignments
- Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills to deal effectively with multiple stakeholders
- Sound analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
- 5+ years of Human Resources Business Partner experience
- University degree and CHRL designation preferred
