**What You’ll Do**:
- Manage the team(s) performance of data centre operation professionals, ensuring effective and efficient management of day-to-day data centre operations including queue management, 24/7 shift arrangement and hardware logistics.
Ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are being measured and met. Inspire and guide improvement in team process, technology innovation and automation.
- Manage large scale events (outages) and act as the call leader keeping other key stakeholders informed accordingly.
- Manage and improve the workflows and through-put for data centre operations.
- Be passionate about the quality and quantity of services being provided, and continuously strive to improve Home Hardware customer experiences.
- Ensure proper placement and monitoring of equipment, manage maintenance contracts, Data Centre cleaning and disposal of decommissioned equipment. Monitor and order stock and equipment as needed.
- Be responsible for the preparation of and adherence to the capital and operational budgets for the Data Centre.
- Be designated as an Oracle Financial Administrator and participate as a member of the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and is part of the IT Infrastructure and Security Leadership Team.
**What we’re looking for**:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and react to changing situations.
- Minimum 3-5 years of people management experience with direct reports.
- Must possess excellent customer service and analytical skills.
- Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of change, problem, and incident management.
- Literacy in security and customer data protection.
- Demonstrated communication skills in presentation, open discussion, team coaching. Fluency in English verbal and written proficiency.
- Financial understanding in annual budgeting, Capex, Opex concepts and Project Management skills.
- Knowledge of data centre MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) Infrastructure: Power, Cooling & Facilities Management.
- Experience in data centre safety and security measures and data centre server capacity planning.
- Understanding of data mining/analysis skills.
- ITIL Foundation, PMP, Lean Six Sigma and/or risk related certifications.
- Microsoft Windows and Linux certification (RHCSA/RHCE, LPIC, Linux+) and/or administration experience.
- In-depth knowledge on data centre operations, processes, and continuous processes improvement. Able to handle a potentially fast-paced work environment and flexibility to work extended hours as required.
