Home Hardware has an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Systems Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Director, Transportation, you will be responsible for managing the implementation and optimization of our Transportation Management System. In addition, you will analyze our carrier rates and collaboratively develop strategies and recommendations regarding our courier operations and the overall operations of our Transportation function.

**What you’ll do**:

- Oversee the integration of day-to-day operational movements of freight (domestic, US, overseas, courier).
- Work with carriers, suppliers, and Dealer Support Centres to integrate into the Transportation Management System (TMS), Courier operations system, and Home Hardware Applications.
- Provide integration, optimization, and ongoing support for the TMS and Warehouse Management System (WMS). This will include analyzing our transport systems and processes, recommending strategies, and implementing improvements.
- Interface TMS data into our host system to ensure data is available for our Merchandise, eCommerce, and store facing Departments.
- Develop Key Performance Indicator functionality for review and action with the Transportation Director.
- Provide leadership and supervision to the operational staff of the Transportation group and ensure functional compliance within the TMS.
- Supervise freight audits and payment. Conduct and lead RFP analysis with the team.
- Provide ongoing analysis regarding our route optimization within the TMS. Return on investment tracking and reporting.

**What we’re looking for**:

- College Diploma in Supply Chain or Business, with 3 to 5 years of transportation and logistics experience. A CCLP or PLOG designation would be considered a strong asset.
- 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum three years’ experience using a Transportation Management System.
- Computer functionality understanding and knowledge.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, along with attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to work extra hours when required.
