We operate from locations at either end of Canada: Halifax (Dartmouth) on the Atlantic Coast, and Victoria on the Pacific Coast. At AML, we do things a bit differently. Think daily huddles. If you are familiar with these concepts - or they interest you - then you might be a fit for AML. **The mission of this role is “** **Accountabilities** - Repair Quality: Out of box failures on serviced instruments < 1% on all orders Adherence to quality assurance best practices and test procedures as outlined by the QA team. - Metric Forecasting: Ability to predict and update widgets accurately and proactively. Communicates revisions, with stakeholders as needed. - Service Volume: 2% increase in qty of assets serviced, per quarter Improves throughput without compromising on quality. - Documentation: Documents NCs, Handbacks, and OFIs, with context for Quality Assurance Team. - Engages in cross training, and supports other functions as needed. Records updates in the cross training matrix. - Process improvement: Understands and coordinates to improve workflow and the Ops team KFFM health. Specifically production floor process improvements NOT Quality Assurance. **Key Competencies** - Meticulous / Detail Oriented High manual dexterity. Aptitude for meticulous, detail oriented assembly. Getting it right the first time; mínimal re-work. Zero warranty work. - Troubleshooting Skills Electrical and mechanical problems; Ability to distinguish symptom from cause; Ability to determine root cause - Electro / Mechanical Expertise Gift for assembly, fit and installation of prefabricated parts; Splicing of cabling; Soldering; Operation of shop equipment; Ability to read a schematic - Calibration Methodologies Understanding of Pressure, Temperature, SV, Turbidity and Conductivity calibration theory and process - Aptitude for Process Improvement Ability to think in terms of process; Adept at visualizing steps and sequencing; Able to distinguish value add from extra - Communication Skills Effective communicator, in both written and verbal formats. Responsive to the needs of internal and external customers.
