SG Cunningham is looking for an experienced Site Superintendent to begin full-time, permanent work with an exciting, community-minded company. In this role, you will oversee construction on the job site. Job sites at SG Cunningham range in size from small (e.g., maintenance and small renovations) to large (e.g. ground-up construction). **Qualifications**:

- Experience as a Site Superintendent in the construction industry
- Formal education preferred (college courses or diploma in construction techniques/technology)
- Fluent in the interpretation of blueprints, shop drawings and construction specifications
- Surveying knowledge: the ability to lay out a building and set elevations
- Proven track record of completing projects on time
- Ability to troubleshoot problems with schedule and/or constructability
- Excellent communication skills (required for communicating with the Project Manager, clients, employees, subtrades)
- Comfortable using app-based technology. (Note: training will be provided.)
- Good understanding of construction documents (e.g. change orders)
- General knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, as well as completion of relevant construction safety courses (e.g. Working at Heights)
- A valid driver’s license (G) with a clean driving record
- Gold Seal Certification is an asset

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervising construction activities
- Co-ordinating the work activities of various sub-trades
- Reviewing blueprints, shop drawings and construction specifications
- Ensuring all work is completed according to specifications and reporting any non-conformities
- Ensuring work progresses on schedule
- Enforcing site safety in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Ensuring construction personnel have the required safety training certificates
- Ensuring all on-site construction equipment is in good working order
- Motivating the crew to achieve desired results
- Ensuring job progresses on schedule by completing hands-on tasks as required
