Job Description:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and continually improve health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on health and safety matters.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver training sessions on health and safety topics to employees and contractors.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety activities.
- Stay current with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to promote a culture of safety and risk management.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in the construction or excavation industry.
- Strong knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations, including Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough incident investigations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
