Be part of a team where performance, collaboration, and innovation come together to drive success.We are actively seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to play a critical role on our leadership team, steering the development and execution of our health and safety strategy. Health & Safety is not just a compliance function at Strathcona; it is a shared responsibility across the organization, and a reflection of our values. We are looking for a Health & Safety leader who builds strong relationships, influences positively, and partners with all teams to maintain a safe, accountable, and high-performing workplace. Essential FunctionsLead and continuously improve Strathcona’s Health & Safety management system, ensuring regulatory compliance while fostering a culture where safety conversations are open, practical, and solutions-focusedProvide strategic leadership and development to the Health & Safety team, including staffing, development, and human resources managementEncourage a positive and proactive safety culture through engagement with all levels of management and workers in head office and field officeOversee the development and implementation of effective loss control programsProvide oversight of corporate and site-specific emergency response plans, assurance, security management, training and competencyWork with operations and others to facilitate the development and implementation of effective learning management and competency development systems and toolsLiaise with regulators, non-government organizations, community groups and external stakeholders as requiredDirect incident response and investigationsQualifications:Proven experience in a Health & Safety leadership role, ideally in upstream oil and gas industry Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements for upstream oil and gas and experience in the development and implementation of programs to strategically manage risks in these areas.Ability to work with stakeholders to deliver effective corporate programs and enhance safety culture.Occupational Health & Safety degree, diploma or certificate or relevant experienceCanadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) Certification is an assetGreat things aren’t done by one person, they’re done by a team.We believe meaningful results come from people with unwavering commitment to integrity, energy, and intelligence – how we show up matters just as much as what we deliver.
