Project Manager, Pipe Fabrication

**This posting is for our Onoway, AB facility. You MUST have reliable transportation to commute daily.**

**Job Purpose**

The Project Manager is a critical member of the project team. The Project Manager is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of a variety of administrative tasks required to support the needs of the project teams, vendors and subcontractors.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Review promising bids with the estimating team providing Project insight to reduce handover knowledge gap upon award
- Delegates the project specific tasks to the project team as assigned by the Manager of Projects
- Work with the Manager of Projects to develop a baseline schedule
- Prepares and compiles info for kickoff meetings (client, internal, subcontractors)
- Prepares for and attends client progress meetings
- Ensure the Project Coordinator completes an accurate, professional weekly client report
- Facilitate and support with isometric drawing review and constructability mark-ups conducted by Operations/Production
- Facilitate and support with isometric drawing review for material take-offs conducted by Materials
- Provide a project material budget;
- Work with the client to develop fabrication prioritization, and communicate the priorities to the Operations/Production teams
- Work with the Operations/Production teams on the execution planning as needed
- Ensuring communication of mark-ups and prioritization to the project team to ensure timely and accurate drafting and drawing release procedures
- Communicates the project schedule to all departments and sets deadlines for the departments and their deliverables based on the project schedule
- Works with the Controller to provide any necessary information and back-up, as well as develop effective change orders for submission to the client
- Ensure CORs have the proper documentation and backup as required
- Ensure rework numbers are being distributed
- Ensure PORs are tracked appropriately
- Reviews RFIs prior to submission to the client that are;
- Gathered by the Project Coordinator and placed into the appropriate templates as required by the client
- Supports and communicates immediate priorities to Logistics and Loading Foreman
- Manage subcontractors day-to-day to ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Work with the Manager of Projects to prepare and review project health documentation
- Review and approve project invoicing and PORs as required

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary training is preferred;
- Industry specific trade training would be an asset;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Very strong analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
- Exceptional organization and time management skills;
- Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills;
