DESCRIPTION:
ASL Distribution Services Limited (ASL), one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies, is a successful 3PL company with over 50 years in helping clients manage their supply chain.
Reporting directly to the Director of IT, this position oversees everything related to the company’s Systems and Network support and service requests, with the goals of increasing the level of security, and service for the IT Department as well as improving the resolution and response time of technical incidents and services requests
**Responsibilities**:
- Actively monitoring and adhering to all IT support incidents and service requests in a timely fashion
- Participate in all systems evaluation and demos as needed
- Support the Network & Servers stream of the launch matrix.
- Ensure we always maintain clean AD users accounts by deleting inactive users
- Making sure all users details in AD is up to date with information and organizational structure
- Control O365 licenses effectively
- Control RMM, Backup, End Point Protection and other licenses effectively
- Decommission all out of support Windows Servers OS, and upgrade all servers to Windows Server 2019
- Work on ensuring all servers are performing to the best of its ability
- Ensure backups are completed daily and synchronized to a local NAS/Vault
- Ensure all our networking records are up to date, managed and updated effectively
- Implement Fresh Ping Alerting system within FreshService
- Come up with a plan to upgrade all network switches at main sites where needed.
- Ensure all sites are behind a securely configured firewall.
- Implement two factor authentication method for VPN access.
- Monitor all VPN accesses and create a method to restrict access to only approved users.
- Restrict VPN access by implementing rules to prohibit personal devices from connecting to our network.
- Manage the domain Group Policy effectively.
- Review all sites circuits usage and provide recommendations
- Monitor all wireless network controllers and implement a maintenance schedule for updates
- Recommend and implement the best Cloud based telephone systems for ASL, including Teams Phones.
- Provide analytical data from across all systems to help with the decision making process and plan for future needs and projects
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- College or University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- PC Hardware, printer, RF Gun experience, setup, configure, repair
- Desktop Support experience with MS Windows 7, 8.1, 10
- User support for MS Office 365
- Intermediate experience with Active Directory including GPO management
- General knowledge and experience with network connectivity - switches, routers, etc.
- Experience troubleshooting desktops, laptop, printers, network drives, etc.
- Experience using a central management ticket solution with inventory and asset management
- VOIP Knowledge is an asset
- Mobile Device Management knowledge is a plus (Miadore as an example)
