**JOB TITLE**: Fundraising & Development Co-ordinator

**REPORTS TO**: Executive Director

The Progressive Housing Society is a leader for our community. We work hard to provide the best outcomes for our clients. We believe in empowering people to live well. **THE OPPORTUNITY**:
**HOURS**:
3 days per week (flexible). 7.5 hours per day, with the possibility of becoming full time.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
- 4+ years of fundrising or closely related experience (Sales or Business Development, etc.)
- Experience in marketing or communications is preferred
- Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset
- Experience working in a non-profit environment is an asset
- Successful clearance of a criminal record check.

- Self-motivated and a self-starter with an outgoing personality
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work well in a team environment or independently
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of affordable housing an asset

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develops annual fundraising and development campaign/plan
- Works with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and Resource Development Committee to develop, organize, and support the implementation of fund raising initiatives.
- Plan and execute funraising campaigns and activities
- Identify potential donors,sponsors, or appropriate granters and approach them for funding
- Tracking of donors (cash & in-kind)
- Develop & maintain strong positive relationships with donors
- Maintain and update PHS’s donor database
- Send thank-you cards & follow-ups to donors
- Reports to the Executive Director, both financial & activity reporting and committee work
- Provides recommendations to communications regarding promotional marketing campaign
- Supports communications in delivering key messaging for fund development initiatives
- Helping to raise awareness, and find new platforms to promote PHS’s cause

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 22.5 per week
