Calgary, Canada Axess Law Full time

Axess Law is currently seeking an experienced real estate paralegal to join our growing real estate practice. Our firm has operations in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta and is considered one of the top real estate conveyancing law firms nationally.

This is a hybrid position, with the option to work from home and at our Calgary office. You will work as part of a close-knit team of professionals who enjoy what they do and do it well. We are looking for someone who is a team player, motivated to excel in all areas of life and excited to join a growing firm of like-minded individuals

**Responsibilities**:

- The ability to independently manage a minimum of 30 real estate transactions per month from start to finish, including drafting all documents and correspondences with other solicitors through to reporting to clients.
- Experience independently managing mortgage transactions, including drafting all mortgage documents, correspondences with solicitors for the lenders and borrowers through to reporting to clients and lenders.
- Knowledge of how to read and interpret searches.
- Prepare and calculate final accounts and ledgers and determine final amounts due from and owing to clients.
- Prepare reporting letters/accounts to clients and lenders, promptly following the completion of files.
- The ability to be proactive, work ahead of schedule, meet strict deadlines and go the extra mile is essential.
- Detail-oriented with a positive outlook and have strong time management skills.

**Skills and experience**:

- This role is best suited to an individual with a background and appreciation for excellent customer service - we are proud to strive for 11/10 customer service during each and every client interaction.
- Being able to handle stressful situations and manage competing priorities is essential.
- Must have the ability to work as an individual within a team, have a strong personal sense of responsibility and possess clear and developed communication abilities.

A minimum of 2 years of real estate paralegal experience is required.
