Vancouver, Canada Traction Rec Full time

We’re looking for a **People & Culture Coordinator** to join our team and be part of our next stage of growth. This is a unique opportunity for someone early in their HR career to roll up their sleeves, take initiative, and help reimagine how the People function supports a thriving, values-driven organization.

As part of a small but mighty team, you’ll have exposure to a wide range of People & Culture programs — from employee engagement to recruiting to operational support. You’ll work closely with teammates across the company to build meaningful experiences, contribute to our culture, and make real impact as we scale.

This is a hybrid role based in Vancouver, with two in-office days each week (or as needed) to collaborate with the team and support in-person events and activities. A valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle is required to assist with event logistics and office coordination.

**Who we are**

At Traction Rec, community is at the heart of everything we do. We empower nonprofit organizations like YMCAs, Jewish Community Centers (JCCs), and Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) to strengthen their communities through great technology built on the Salesforce platform. By enabling these organizations to deliver their services more efficiently, we help them focus on creating meaningful connections and driving positive change where it matters most.

We believe that business is a powerful force for good. As part of this belief, we’ve committed to the **Pledge 1% for the Planet**, dedicating 1% of our time, product, profit, or equity to supporting environmental and community causes. This commitment reflects our dedication to creating a positive impact that extends beyond technology.

Our passion for community and innovation has earned us recognition, including:

- Salesforce Nonprofit Sales Partner of the Year and ISV Partner of the Year
- Globe & Mail's Top Growing Companies of 2024
- Deloitte's Technology Fast 50 winner
- Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 winner

At Traction Rec, we live our values**:Community, Authenticity, Impact, Fun, and Growth.** As a Living Wage Certified employer in British Columbia, we are dedicated to supporting not just the communities we serve but also the people who make it all happen—our team.

If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to join a company that puts community first, we’d love to have you on this journey with us. Together, let’s create stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.

**Skills**

Traction Rec’rs come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from diverse backgrounds. For this role, you might have:

- 1+ year of experience in administration, HR, or event coordination (internship experience is welcome)
- Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a proactive, solution-focused approach
- Experience with event planning or coordination
- Interest in recruiting and employee engagement programs
- Comfortable using or learning tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and applicant tracking systems
- Able to work effectively in a hybrid environment, with two days per week in-office in downtown Vancouver (or as needed)
- Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
- Bonus points if:

- You’ve worked in the nonprofit sector, supporting events.
- You’re a results oriented person who likes to roll up their sleeves to get things done.
- You’re energized by a fast-paced environment.
- You’ve supported recruiting coordination or onboarding
- You’re excited about building programs from the ground up and contributing ideas to shape how things are done
- You’re confined only by your imagination, not your job description.

**What You Will Be Doing**
- Plan and deliver employee engagement activities, including team-building events, celebrations, and wellness initiatives - coordinating logistics, scheduling, materials, and vendor communications for both in-person and virtual experiences.
- Support onboarding activities, such as preparing welcome materials and coordinating introductory meetings
- Maintain and update employee records and support with HR systems and administrative tasks
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide support across People & Culture processes
- Assist with office administration and day-to-day coordination as required
- Collaborate with the People & Culture team on initiatives that enhance the employee experience and evolve our people programs as we grow
- Have a valid BC Driver's License, and access to a vehicle (required)
