We’re involved in the whole testing process from preparing test and diagnostic programs to recommending changes in testing equipment procedures and designing new testing equipment.

What you’ll achieve

As an Engineering Manager you will build and manage the software test engineering team responsible for the quality assurance strategy for Dell's 5G Private Mobility Engineering team. This team will be responsible for validation and automation development in Agile methodology for our product releases using Agile Methodology. The organization is a globally distributed team in various locations in Canada, Egypt and the United States.

You will:

- Lead and develop a team of software I&V engineers, managing the hiring, staffing and maintenance of a diverse and effective workforce and the career development and performance management of the team
- Analyze, investigate and execute product engineering test tasks: test plan, cases, automation and execution
- Develop solutions to difficult technical problems, which may require ingenuity and creativity
- Collaborate cross functionally with engineering team members and other engineering groups
- Interface with senior management to report on project and program milestones and present project needs and technical knowledge
- Be an advocate in setting and driving engineering best practices to deliver high quality software in an efficient and timely manner.
- Goal setting and performance reviews for your direct report

Essential Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering quality assurance experience
- 5+ years of managerial/leadership experience with teams of 5+ members
- Extensive experience staffing and managing and nurturing a high-performing software development team; Knowledge of software development methods, design, and implementation
- Expertise in programing languages, tools, and techniques used to implement quality software products. Strong communicator and be comfortable communicating technically at both high and low levels.

Desirable Requirements
- Extensive experience qualifying and testing enterprise software; Software as a Service, test driven development, software configuration management, automated testing, Test Management Tools (Requirements, Test Cases, Defects, Automated Frameworks) such as QMetry, QTest, JIRA, etc.
- Experience working with large enterprise customers. Knowledgeable in Public & Private Cloud technologies, microservice architecture, Kubernetes, Bachelor’s degree
