**Overview**
Hammerhead's Seafood Kitchen & Market is expanding from take-out to dine-in We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Front of House Staff to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional hospitality and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your responsibilities will encompass various tasks that contribute to the overall dining experience, making it memorable for all diners.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, providing a friendly and positive first impression.
- Assist guests with seating arrangements and ensure their comfort throughout their visit.
- Take and process orders accurately, utilizing the POS system efficiently.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and address any guest inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front of house area, including dining spaces and service stations.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including food and beverage pairings.
- Uphold food handling standards to ensure safety and quality in all service aspects.

**Skills**
- Strong background in hospitality with a passion for helping others.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Experience in cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions.
- Bartending experience is a plus, enhancing your ability to serve beverages effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems for seamless order processing.
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, providing insight into operational workflows.
- Knowledge of food handling practices to maintain high standards of safety and hygiene within the restaurant environment.
- Smart Serve certification.
- Knowledge of sustainable seafood is ideal, however, not required..
- Experience with gluten free diet is desirable, however, we will provide training.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$24.56 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
