We are currently seeking a Sales Compensation Analyst to join the sale compensation team. This position will be based out of our Waterloo, Canada office, with the potential to work remotely. This is an excellent opportunity in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment. The sales compensation team is responsible for administering Descartes global sales compensation plan, which includes preparing and maintaining monthly commission accruals, issuing quota sheets and facilitate process improvement activities to ensure commissions are reported accurately and timely. The primary focus of the sales compensation team is to provide accurate commission calculations, deliver accurate and meaningful commission analysis to assist the organization in making key decisions.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare monthly accruals.
- Analyze variances and provide explanations on the analysis.
- Assist in the day-to-day maintenance of the commission system Xactly Incent.
- Assist with the calculation of monthly and quarterly sales commissions and bonuses.
- Analyze and review contract / billing information related to commissions.
- Prepare commission adjustment calculations related to customer cancellations and AFDA claw backs.
- Perform random deal audits.
- Respond to commission related inquiries from the sales team.
- Respond to internal requests in a comprehensive, professional and timely manner.

**Qualifications**
- 2+ years work experience in finance, ideally with previous relevant experience with calculating sales commissions and bonuses.
- A college or university degree is required, preference given to Accounting or Business.
- Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to meet strict deadlines and handle multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- High degree of autonomy but a team player with a positive attitude that will work as part of a team to deliver quality results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP and Xactly Incent would be an asset.

**Locatio**:This is a remote opportunity, open to applicants authorized to work in Canada. Prefernce will be given to applicants who reside in Waterloo, Ontario.
