SPT Solar Shading Solutions is looking for a qualified, Estimator/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. Our customers are within the commercial and residential sectors. If you’re looking for an opportunity to join a growing company, you will thrive here **Position Summary** The position of Estimator/Project Manager consists of planning, directing and coordinating activities concerned with the delivery, installation, and servicing of commercial, residential & institutional projects. It also consists of participating in the conceptual development of a project and overseeing its organization, scheduling, implementation and successful completion. **Responsibilities**: - Read, interpret, and understand contract drawings and specifications to provide accurate material quantity takeoffs. - Prepare proposals based on interpreting schematic drawings, cost of materials, equipment, labour and subcontract services. - Incorporate addendums to plans and specifications into ongoing estimates. - Manage and supervise the project from start to finish. - Liaise with Sales, Production Team and Accounting to successfully complete projects. - Communicate with General Contractors, Site Managers and attending meetings. - Coordinate with internal Project Co-Ordinator and Installers to set up site measures and installations. - Manage and resolve potential issues that may arise with projects including delays, adverse site conditions, installation issues and other day-to-day challenges that may be associated with commercial construction. - Complete project deficiencies and work with clients to ensure complete satisfaction on their project delivery. **Education**: - PMP (preferred) - College education **Experience**: - College education - Essential 3-5 years leading manufacturing and/or construction projects. - Highly detailed orientated and organized, can manage multiple project files at the same time. - Excellent time management skills. - Experience with reading, interpreting, and understanding contract drawings and specifications. - Preferred Industries: Construction - Strong command of Microsoft Excel - Full “G” Ontario Driver’s License (required) We are looking for an individual that is a strong communicator, has a positive attitude and a willingness to commit to our company. **Salary**: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year Schedule: - Monday to Friday COVID-19 considerations: Staff stay 2m apart & wear face coverings when they are required to get closer. Front doors are locked to minimize contact with outside visitors. Ability to commute/relocate: - Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - Project management: 2 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Class "G" Driver License (required)
