Here's how a(n) Proposal Specialist for our Edmonton Buildings office contributes to our team:
**Responsibilities**:

- Ensures proposal has specific messaging for clients, identifies differentiators, and engages the three levels of readership. Uses graphics to improve and enhance content while emphasizing key messages.
- Takes a lead role in completing the layout and production of proposal material with a contemporary style, utilizing Adobe InDesign.
- Evaluates narratives for relevance, comprehension, and applicability. Identifies new narrative requirements and the appropriate stakeholders to produce them. Creates new proposal narratives as required.
- Accurately proofs, edits, and writes text to deliver a high-quality, compliant, errorfree submission on time. Ensures content is written in a singular voice and that there is continuity in the messaging throughout the document.
- Leads the proposal planning process, including review of client requirements, development of proposal outline, and creation of timeline/assignments.
- Collaborates with internal client/stakeholders to develop overall proposal strategy and applies it to the proposal in a manner that is compliant with the client requirements and consistent with district “win strategy” and/or corporate objectives/policies/goals.
- Leads the preparation of a proposal plan/strategy, including a comprehensive “Responsibility Matrix” mapping specific deliverables to proposal stakeholders, deadlines, and functional/technical requirements.

**Qualifications**:

- Postsecondary degree or diploma in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent.
- Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) practitioner certification,
- Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification or equivalent is preferred.
- 5 years of experience as a proposal coordinator or in a related role (communications, marketing, visual communications).
- Superior project management, organizational, and time management skills to effectively establish the priority and scheduling of work tasks.
- Ability to manage multiple proposals.
- Superior attention to detail, good judgement, and ability to problem-solve.
- Superior verbal, written, and visual communication skills. Ability to create grammatically sound, customized, technical, written content with a customer focus.
- In-depth knowledge of proposal fundamentals and best practices.
- Expert ability to collaborate on and facilitate a team to a positive result.
- Exceptional proofreading skills.
- Ability to develop and execute a lean, quality pursuit process and strategy session.
