Overview:
We are seeking skilled Assistant Press Operators to join our team. As an Assistant Press Operator, you will be responsible for assisting the Press Operator with flexographic printing press set-up, maintaining ink pots and ink viscosity during the press run and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and area. The essential duties of his job are listed below:
**Duties**:

- Reads dockets, sample board and schedule to determine run schedules
- Assists Press Operator with printing press set-up; including changing inks, material, mandrels, sleeves, aniloxes and other parts
- Filling ink pots & maintaining ink viscosity during press run
- Loading raw material onto press with lifting equipment
- Unloads printed rolls from press & straps onto skids
- Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and area

**Requirements**:

- Good mechanical aptitude
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Ability to multi-task and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs unaided

Education/Experience:

- Prior knowledge of the print industry
- Press experience is an asset
- High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Basic computer skills, experience with Microsoft office is an asset.

Shift
- 3 Shift rotation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.80-$26.05 per hour
