**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced In School Mentoring Coordinator to join our team. The **In-School Mentoring Coordinator** is responsible for the delivery, coordination, and supervision of BBBSLG’s in-school one-to-one match programs. This role involves facilitating intakes with children and youth, assisting with the recruitment and training of volunteers, and overseeing the successful development and support of school-based matches. The In-School Mentoring Coordinator will also work closely with the Group Mentoring Program Facilitator to co-facilitate group sessions and ensure a consistent and supportive experience for participants. The position includes casework management, data entry, and administrative duties in order to maintain compliance with national standards set by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, working within the guidelines, policies, and mission of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Leeds and Grenville agency.

**Duties**
- Coordinate and oversee in-school one-to-one matches and the Teen Mentoring Program.
- Assist in the recruitment of volunteers for in-school and teen mentoring programs.
- Conduct orientations, interviews, and screening processes for potential volunteers.
- Facilitate training sessions and provide regular communication and support to maintain volunteer engagement.
- Monitor volunteer performance and support ongoing learning and development.
- Conduct intake interviews with interested children, youth, and families.
- Match youth with appropriate volunteers and provide ongoing monitoring and support.
- Ensure all matches meet national and agency standards for safety, suitability, and consistency.
- Liaise regularly with school staff and administrators to ensure seamless program delivery and identify emerging needs.

**Qualifications**

Degree or diploma in Social Work, Child & Youth Work, or a related human services field required.

1-3 years of relevant experience preferred (e.g., with youth and families, volunteer management)

Holds an excellent understanding of, and commitment to, client-centred approaches and trauma informed practices

The ability to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check and Child Welfare Background Check

A valid driver’s license is required as travel across Leeds and Grenville is a function of this position

Pay: $21.51-$23.20 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
