**The Opportunity**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manages the day-to-day operations of the Concierge and Environmental Services departments (maintenance and housekeeping), including payroll, scheduling, hiring and training.
- Maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance throughout the residence, in accordance with Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC).
- Assists in developing, revising and implementing policies and procedures related to the departments.
- Conducts monthly, quarterly and annual audits including those in relation to housekeeping and cleanliness, maintenance, health and safety and RHRA guidelines.
- Provides leadership to the Joint Health and Safety and Fire Safety Committees, including conducting fire safety training, checks and monthly drills.
- Recruits and oversees external contractors, along with assigning maintenance work orders and service requests.
- Manage the budgets and orders supplies for the Concierge and Environmental Services departments
- Direct the development, implementation and observance of preventative maintenance schedules for the building and its equipment.
- Provides guidance and feedback to the General Manager on all issues that may present a risk to the residence, staff or residents.
- Project manages any renovation or maintenance projects that may arise
- Responds to any staff or resident emergencies, and prepares documentation for follow up, including incident reports.
- Assists with responding to any resident complaints.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- At least 5 years of management experience in a service orientated environment, preferably in the retirement industry.
- Hands on experience in an Environmental Services or Facilities position an asset.
- Must have completed Joint Health and Safety Training and hold a valid First Aid certificate
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead by example.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work effectively and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Previous experience assisting with scheduling and payroll an asset.
