**About the Opportunity**:
The Nova Scotia Health is the largest clinical research hosting institution and provider of health services in Nova Scotia. We are over 22,000 employees who carry out clinical research, provide health care and support services in hospitals, health centres and community-based programs throughout Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI), and under the direction of the Research Manager, the Research Assistant contributes to the research study by assisting with recruitment, administration of tests and interviews, collection of biological samples, data collection, study administration, by providing administrative support and entering study data for clinical studies investigating depression in Nova Scotia Health’s Depression Clinical Research Program (DCRP). The DCRP aims to match each person with depression to the treatment that will give them the best chances of recovery. **About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Grade 12
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in a relevant discipline (Psychology, Science) preferred
- Previous experience in a health care or clinical research is an asset
- Experience with mental illness care an asset
- Knowledge of diagnostic criteria for mental and behavioral disorders is an asset
- Experience with cognitive testing an asset
- Effective communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Well-developed organizational, time management and daily planning skills
- Ability to work well independently as well as within a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Ability to deal with a wide variety of people in a professional manner
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Compensation and Benefits**:
$22.78 - $28.48 Hourly
