**A key leader in the Global Sales Team** with an overall leadership responsibility for Air Canada's Tourism and Strategic Partnership strategies to generate external funding and in-kind assets that are critical in supporting Air Canada sales and marketing priorities globally. This individual oversees the full portfolio of strategic tourism partnerships, from development, planning, negotiation, to the ongoing management and growth of over 100 strategic tourism and hotel partners globally. This position will help to accelerate and increase the $25M in cash and in-kind marketing support for Air Canada that is currently generated from the various tourism partnerships.
**Responsibilities**:
- ** Lead and spearhead the development, planning, and negotiation of partnership strategies**
- Lead and oversee the creation and implementation of strategic tourism partnerships, inclusive of business development, partnership execution, and ongoing relationship management. Craft business plans and lead partnership negotiation with key Tourism Organizations, Convention and Visitors Bureaus, Airport Authorities, and relevant Travel Industry organizations across the globe.
- Secure funding and negotiate value-added assets through partnerships in support of key Air Canada commercial and strategic initiatives
- Identify and prioritize innovative relationship opportunities; take inventory across Global Sales teams around the globe to identify and harness existing relationships to establish and-or expand Air Canada's competitive positions in markets across the world
- Align efforts to maintain competitive edge in the marketplace to increase revenues, reach and impact of ongoing and planned Marketing and Sales efforts - in support of Air Canada's current and planned global corporate and market priorities.
- Create and effectively communicate (both internally and externally) Air Canada's tourism partnership strategy.
- ** Partnership negotiation and execution**
- Represent Air Canada as the primary liaison to cultivate new partnerships and strengthen existing relationships with tourism industry partners. Grow and manage relationship with senior-level tourism officials worldwide.
- Lead negotiations of partnership agreements with key partners and to ensure that a common framework is used for the negotiation process.
- Craft negotiation strategies and responsible for partnership management providing direction, guidance, advice, and support for partnership activities. Monitor, resolve, and-or escalate issues and solutions as required.
- Represent Air Canada on external committees to share the corporation's value offer, insight, and best practices, gather intelligence and ultimately increase the Air Canada's visibility and reach in key markets through partnerships engagement strategies and activities.
- ** Partnership execution and value optimization**
- Oversee the development and renewal of partnership contracts; identify and seize opportunities for incremental support and-or expansion of partnership agreements
- Develop methodical approaches and processes to drive results through partnerships incorporate research, measurement, testing and business analytics.
- Manage and create holistic budget and leverage efficiently partner investments.
- Lead cross-functional efforts (including but not limited to Global Sales teams across all geographies, Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance, Legal, Taxation, Air Canada Vacations, and Network Planning) to craft and execute coordinated, holistic plans that creates and maximizes values with strategic partners globally
- Develop and deliver professional sales presentations to potential partner organizations and to internal groups with the ability to persuade and close business
- Initiate activities with partners intended to increase and enhance Air Canada's exposure, factoring in existing marketing initiatives, Sales plans, and objectives as well as RMSM feedback
- ** Monitoring, Reporting, Evaluation and Administration**
- Maintain a deep understanding of corporate priorities, sales and marketing programs and activities, fostering a close relationship and ongoing communication with the relevant internal teams.

- Manage reporting and financial tracking of strategic partnership activities to provide timely and accurate reporting of results to all stakeholder
