**Position Overview**
Aecon Industrial brings seamless solutions to key clients through operational excellence and reliability. With the ability to self-perform across our diverse business offering and a strategic fabrication network, Aecon Industrial proactively and profitably manages projects across a diverse range of industrial business areas. (Renewable Energy, Natural Gas Distribution, Oil and Gas, Water, Mining, Cogeneration Energy, Chemical, etc.).

**Key Responsibilities**

Accountable for ensuring all construction project management activities are successfully executed, including;
- Transition to construction, monitors (Levels 1 and 2) or establishes (Level 3 and 4) construction infrastructure and critical path
- Establishing and maintaining project budget
- Enforces change procedures
- Establishes schedule and staffing plans
- Negotiates and executes contracts and agreements in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Chairs project management meetings with a focus on the best outcomes for Aecon
- Ensures all project reporting is accurate and timely
- Oversees testing, quality, and safety
- Manages client and vendor relationship
- Project risks and issues are logged and managed
- Ensures all project close-out activities are completed in a timely manner
- Demonstrates commercial acumen to protect profits and improve margins
- Business development, including participation in costing and estimating activities and risk analysis
- Financial forecasting and contributing to creation of revenue targets
- Overseeing procurement including materials and subcontractors

**Required Knowledge and Experience**
- Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or equivalent discipline
- General knowledge of non-residential construction methods, building systems, and terminology
- Demonstrated ability to meet Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4 proficiencies
- In addition, applicants will be required to demonstrate deep technical project management expertise and understanding of regulatory requirements in one or more of Aecon’s operating markets (Nuclear, Utilities, Rail, etc )
- Preference for P.Eng designation. A degree or diploma in business management is also an asset.
