The contribution of the Workshop is to provide a quality product, delivered as per schedule to the appropriate Manufacturing Department. Ensuring product is produced in the most economical manner while maintaining the company’s high standard level. The position works closely with Senior Management and Department Coordinators
- Accountable for the management of workshop staff.
- Responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running department.
- Scheduling and organizing the day’s workload based on timelines & schedule for the next process.
- Resolve and provide solutions to issues.
- Plan for optimal workshop material usage and Engineering’s direction.
- Inspect materials prior to leaving the department ensuring it meets the quality standards set out by company expectations.
- Requisition stock material required through Purchasing.
- Set mid
- max inventory levels.
- Shop Supplies - Inventory weekly and restock to meet min/max levels.
- Using and cleaning and maintaining the different tools used in the workshop.
- Ensure the work area is clean of debris after the project is completed.
- Requisition through Purchasing for Out of Shop supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Main Duties and responsibilities**

Planning and monitoring work within the workshop - 25%

Undertaking manufacturing and assembly jobs - 30%

Managing stock levels - 10%

Report on workload, participating in project planning - 10%

General administration for personnel and record-keeping - 15%

Quality Control - 10%
