**The Opportunity**:
The Manager of Parks and Facilities is a leadership opportunity with community impact responsible for:

- strategic planning, coordination, and operation of all municipal parks, open spaces, trails, outdoor amenities, and the maintenance, operation, and safety of municipal facilities and related infrastructure.
- providing leadership in asset management, capital planning, environmental sustainability, and customer-focused service delivery.

**Minimum Qualifications: Education & Experience**
- A diploma or degree in Recreation & Leisure Services, Facility Management, Horticulture, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in municipal parks and/or facility maintenance, including staff supervision
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

**Licenses and Certifications**
- Alberta Class 5 Driver’s Licence

Preferred:

- Certified Playground Safety Inspector
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) or Recreation Facility Management Certificate
- First Aid and WHMIS
- Herbicide Applicator’s License
- Certified Landscaper
- Building Maintenance Level 2
- Sports Fields Level 2

**Salary**:$4,278.75 - $5,349.00 biweekly or $57.05 - $71.32 hourly (based on a 37.5-hour work week depending on skills and experience). The City of Lacombe offers an excellent benefits package including health and welfare benefits, Defined Benefit Pension, and 6% vacation to start (approximately 3 weeks pro-rated).
