It’s a key ingredient that gives strength to concrete so that it doesn’t crack, ensuring buildings and infrastructure remain strong and stable for years to come. **Here’s what you need to know about the role**: - Full-time, permanent position; - Day shift, Monday to Thursday (7:00am - 4:30pm) and Friday (7:00am - 3:00 pm) - Starting salary at $22.50$/h (after 500 hours: 24$/h / after 2000 hours: 26$/h / after 4000$/h: 27$/h / after 6000 hours: 28.50$/h) **What we offer**: - Benefits package (medical, dental, etc); - Retirement Savings Plan; - Free employee assistance program; - Friendly and casual environment. - Physical Activity Reimbursement: $600 annually for physical activities to promote health and wellness; **Main Responsibilities**: - Operate overhead cranes, bar benders, and shear machines (training provided); - Read and follow bar lists to fabricate rebar according to specific specifications; - Assist equipment operators with material handling; - Affix identification tags to fabricated rebar bundles; - Support with additional assigned tasks as required; - Act in compliance with AGF’s Health & Safety policies following the Occupational Health & Safety Act. - Other duties as assigned; - Ability to commute to 3419 Hawthorne Rd, Ottawa, ON K1G 4G2: (required) - 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in manufacturing; - Experience operating an overhead crane (an asset); - Basic math and measurement skills (an asset); - Ability to learn various types of manufacturing equipment; - Ability to perform physical tasks - lift/move up to 50 lbs; - Willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and perform physical labor; - Strong multitasking skills and capacity for teamwork. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $22.50 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Dental care - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Tuition reimbursement - Vision care - Wellness program Ability to commute/relocate: - Ottawa, ON K1G 4G2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Experience**: - Shop/Manufacturing: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person
