We are growing AGF Steel is seeking a **Machine Operator **at our **Ottawa **location for the **day shift.**

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Operate overhead crane, bar bending, and sheer machines (training provided);
- Reading and following instructions on the bar lists provided to fabricate rebar based on specific specifications;
- Assisting equipment operators in material handling;
- Affixing tags to fabricated bundles for identification purposes;
- Assist in other assigned tasks as required;
- Assisting in housekeeping duties for the yard and shop.

**Requirements**:

- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in manufacturing;
- Experience in operating an overhead crane (an asset);
- Basic math/measurement skills (an asset);
- Ability to learn various types of manufacturing equipment;
- Ability to work physically - lift/move up to 50lbs;
- Willingness and capacity to work outside in varying weather conditions, and perform physical work;
- Multi-tasking and a strong capacity for teamwork.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.50 per hour
