Our team creates and implements personalized programming (i.e., rehabilitation, respite, behaviour, and supervision) for individuals and families with individualized needs. **Barrantes & Associates Inc**. is seeking a Behaviour Associate devoted to helping clients achieve their goals. Each position (**Student**, **Associate I**, and **Associate II**) requires unique qualifications and experience levels. A successful applicant must:
- Maintain a high standard of care, compassion, and commitment.
- Have the proven ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary setting.
- Have the proven ability to work with clients of all demographics; including, but not limited to clients with dual diagnoses, developmental disabilities, and complex behaviours.
- Be familiar with behaviour skills training and teaching replacement behaviours.
- Be familiar with task analysis, prompt fading, and identifying functions of behaviour.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain access to a vehicle for travel in the community.
- Possess valid First Aid and CPR training.
- Be able to obtain a valid, negative Vulnerable Sector Check.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain rapport with clients as required.
- Assist with and advocate for clients’ needs.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies.
- Create a supportive and collaborative environment in order to maximize clients’ potential.
- Provide urgent response for clients in crisis.
- Complete clinical documentation after each client visit.
- Collaborate and communicate with team members as needed.
**Other responsibilities**:
- Participate in ongoing professional development through company workshops and/or external learning opportunities.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
**Education**:
- **Associate I & II** completion of recognized degree or diploma program
**Experience**:
- **Associate I**:1 to 3 years in the social service sector.
- **Associate II**:3+ years in the social service sector.
- Additional training in behaviour management and modification is considered an asset.
- Safe Management Group training considered an asset.

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week

- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
**Education**:
- DCS / DEC (preferred)
**Experience**:
- behaviour support: 3 years (preferred)
