**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Interprets work order instructions or blueprints
- Performs first off part verification
- Chooses the appropriate die and punch to form parts correctly as per product specifications and plans sequence of actions required for job completion
- Sets up CNC brake without supervision
- Maintains accurate manufacturing data and liaises with the Plant Manager daily
- Programs CNC brake for correct bending sequence
- Reports all machine malfunctions to supervisor
- Performs preventive maintenance tasks to prevent machine down time
- Transports parts that require further processing to the assigned department
- Calculates blank sizes, bending locations and desired tonnage
- Uses various measuring instruments for part verification
- Liaises with other departments to ensure production schedule is on time
- Ensures work area is kept in a clean and safe condition at all times
- Previous experience in a similar role an asset, however, training will be provided.
- Strong knowledge of brake press tooling
- Ability to read drawings and understand manufacturing tolerances
- Ability to use various measuring instruments for part verification
- Ability to work with both pneumatic and mechanical hand tools
- A positive attitude and good work ethic
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines in a busy production environment
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Ability to be on feet for extended period of time
