**MANAGER, STAFFING AND OFFICE SERVICES**

Reporting to the Human Resources Officer, the manager will be responsible for managing the team of administrative support staff. The Manager, Staffing and Office Services will work closely with the Human Resources Officer in the implementation of best practices in areas such as performance management, training and development, recruitment and selection, health and safety and other human resources related areas.

Duties for this position, while not limited to, may include such activities as:
**General Responsibilities**
- Planning, directing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of administrative services, supervising administrative support staff.
- Participating in the recruitment, onboarding/orientation, performance management, compliance, coaching, mentoring and training of support staff.
- Overseeing staff development, training programs, and special projects as directed by the HRO.
- Monitoring, administering and approving overtime lists and time off/vacation requests ensuring there is adequate coverage at all times.
- Monitoring work flow / assignments, staff compliance and other work-related issues.
- Administering overtime list, when required, including follow-up with HR, support staff, and support staff associations.
- Performing daily walk throughs and check ins with Support Staff.
- In collaboration with Executive Staff and Managers, assists with large meetings/conferences.
- Works closely with the HRO in the following areas:

- workforce planning and recruitment strategies,
- determines staffing needs and adjusts assignments as necessary,
- coordinates accommodations and/or return to work plans,
- implementation of new policies and programs
- Providing exceptional support to staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the HRO, General Secretary or designate.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
- Ability to communicate positively with staff members, political, and organizational representatives, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality;
- Current knowledge and understanding of employment regulations, current practices, new developments and trends in human resources;
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt easily to shifting and/or conflicting deadlines;
- Sound judgement and decision-making skills and be proactive in identifying and proposing solutions to issues;
- Demonstrated self-directed, independent work style that encompasses an ability to work integrally with a well-established senior and support team;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to work to a consistent process;

**Education and Experience**
- University Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline;
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience working in human resources in a variety of functions is required or a combination of education and experience;
- Three years of leadership experience is preferred;
- Completion of CHRL or in progress.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $122,000.00-$154,000.00 per year
