**Duncan Location**
Since 2015, FARM has been providing safe access to cannabis in a discreet and professional environment remaining client-focused and service-minded in a high-volume retail setting. We are seeking managers for our expanding company.
Provincial legislation requires all employees to complete their Selling it Right Certification (3-hour course available through Responsible Service BC).
To be successful in the role, you need to be enterprising, self-motivated, results-driven, hands-on leader with a strong work ethic. As the Store Manager, you are responsible for the overall day-to-day store operations, guest experience, talent development, talent recruitment, visual execution, and administrative functions.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following**
**Selling and Service**:
- Drive store results by leading through the development of strategic business plans and initiatives that will positively impact store results.
- Educate our customers so they feel comfortable with FARM’s range of products creating a personalized shopping experience.
- Model, observe and coach, and provide consistent feedback to the team on inspiring a culture of service and learning.
- Maintain knowledge of each product within the complete range of new and current products available for purchase in store.
- Assist team on goal setting to ensure the highest level of guest experience and sales.
- Ensure Assistant Managers, Supervisors and Keyholders effectively utilize their responsibilities to take ownership of the business in their respective areas of responsibilities.
- Maintain a current understanding of Inventory processes and procedures.
- Support and assist the Inventory department as required.
**Leadership Presence & a Steward of Talent**:
- Through monitoring, planning, coaching, and appraising team results, achieve financial success that positively impacts the store performance.
- Responsible for hiring and succession planning to ensure open positions are filled in a timely manner with top talent.
- Embrace and maintain company driven initiatives for hiring, on-boarding, training, and development of teams while inspiring a culture of service and learning.
- Understand and communicate the FARM brand aesthetic, philosophy, and core values to the team and customers, leading by example with an exemplary attitude.
- Through collaboration and communication build relationships across departments with FARM peers and corporate partners.
**Operational Excellence**:
- Ensure the store is being fiscally responsible by writing an effective schedule and adjusting one to the needs of the business daily and submitting payroll correctly.
- Identify, and communicate business trend information, and product feedback in order to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
- Perform and supervise store opening and closing procedures including counting till funds, completing cash reconciliations, opening, and closing registers, securing facility, and database management.
- Ensure brand standards meet company expectations and government regulations are always being followed by all employees.
- Collaborate with FARM’s Inventory team, by enforcing inventory procedures to support loss prevention strategy, as well as ensure that product merchandising is managed and updated.
- Ensure the store follows all FARM SOPs.
- Oversee loss prevention policies and procedures to be 100% compliant.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Available to work a variety of shifts to support store operations including; evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Standing for extended periods of time
- Able to safely lift boxes up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable climbing ladders
