IT Support Technician

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up new IT equipment (laptops, desktops, phones, etc.)
- Install and configure equipment on-site
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows PC or Mac, external devices, desktops, laptops, hardware diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, and general software support, network, router, and wireless devices
- Oversee troubleshooting for system errors, hardware, and diverse software problems
- Maintain user systems, including deploying upgrades, software, and security patches
- Keep senior team members informed about the progress of assigned projects
- Write or update IT documentation as required
- Be open to mentorship, participate in ongoing learning tasks, and collaborate within a team

Skills and Work Experience:

- 1-2 years of technical experience, preferably in a similar role
- College Diploma or University Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- Excellent interpersonal customer service skills and a friendly demeanor
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Resourceful, with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10 and 11)
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals
- Proactive troubleshooting and initiative-taking
- Effective multitasking and project prioritization
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- Professional experience with PC and Mac computers
- Experience working in Windows Domain network environments, various VPNs and Windows Server administration
- Familiarity with common office devices, including printers, scanners, mobile devices, audio/video equipment, routers/network switches, and peripheral accessories

Additional Details:

- In-person travel to worksites/client locations required (reimbursement per kilometer driven provided)
- Maintain a positive attitude focused on building client relationships while representing NVTech
- Punctuality and reliability are essential, as clients' issues are often urgent and unexpected
- Work hours: standard 8 AM-5 PM,1 hour break, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed
- Access to a reliable vehicle is an asset, as travel to worksites is a crucial part of this role

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in North York, ON
