We’re looking for an Insurance Case Coordinator to join our Insurance team.

**What your day looks like**:

- Conducts weekly follow-up for status updates on each pending file and updates insurance database daily to reflect status changes and communicates these changes to appropriate parties. This includes checking policies and transfers for accuracy and handling delivery requirements where appropriate
- Responsible for maintaining the CIS mailboxes and maintaining Service Level Standards internally and externally. Handles all status queries from advisors, coordinators, insurance companies and Regional Insurance Consultants for general inquiries; including research and problem resolution to ensure speedy resolution
- Special Projects related to above functions, including data clean up in Virtgate system

**Requirements**:
**Your experience and skills**:

- Minimum 1 year post secondary education
- 1-3 years in life insurance industry, preferably in an MGA environment preferred
- Familiarity with insurance products and terminology preferred
- Familiarity with Wealth Serv or Virtgate database system preferred
- Previous experience in dealing with credit unions preferred
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate excellent judgment and research skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong team player
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Internet; familiarity with insurance databases and websites an asset; ability to learn new software; fast and accurate typing skills
- Must be able to work business hours of the Pacific Time Zone (BC)
