Supervisor Quality Control

We are looking for a **Supervisor, Quality Control - Microbiology**who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the microbiology laboratory. The person will oversee the activities of the laboratory and the team responsible for microbiology analysis and operations for external and internal clients.

The **Quality Control Supervisor** will be responsible for:

- Supervise a team of 5 analysts in the performance of their daily activities, including the distribution of tasks, work schedules, smooth running of activities, efficient use of equipment, achievement of objectives and respect of deadlines.
- Manage the execution of the environmental monitoring program for facilities and services, microbiological testing, adequacy, optimization and implementation of methods to be consistent with production activities and regulatory requirements.
- Foster the development of team members through technical, scientific and professional coaching, mentoring and training.
- Ensure compliance of all microbiology laboratory activities with GMP regulations, organization policies, and safety standards.
- Actively participate in the drafting and review of procedures, protocols, reports and risk analyses.
- Oversee and approve standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Provide scientific expertise on microbiology for laboratory operations, utility systems, and classified areas.
- Keep abreast of any changes in regulatory requirements that may impact the activities of the microbiology laboratory.
- Advise on annual budget requirements for the operation and maintenance of the laboratory.
- Assist the Director of Quality Control in the planning of the necessary human and material resources.
- Provide a safe and health-friendly work environment by promoting and enforcing occupational health and safety policies.

- You have a bachelor's degree in life sciences.
- You have at least 5 years’ experience in applied microbiology, including at least 2 in a GMP environment.
- You have at least 2 years' experience in developing procedures and methods, as well as troubleshooting, in particular for bioburden and endotoxin.
- You have at least 1 year’s experience in team management and laboratory coordination.
- A combination of relevant training and experience may be considered.
- You have a keen interest and ease in drafting GMP documents, such as procedures, deviations, protocols, risk analysis or change control.
- You are able to communicate effectively with French and English-speaking team members.
