**Mining Field Supervisor **would be responsible for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the assigned project. They willoversee a variety trades people, all of whom maintain, repair, rebuild all types of heavy mining. Allocates trades people time to best utilize available workforce and ensure the safe working of all reporting to them.
- This position is field based, with home base located in Spruce Grove Alberta.
- The shift rotation for this position iswe are open to discuss**.**
- The salary range for this position will be very competitive.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Ensure all work is performed in a safe manner, by performing job observations, site inspections and setting safety standards and expectations. 4M guidelines to be followed along with the customers sites.
- Provide daily updates to customers and management team.
- Ensure that operational requirements are met by supervising, the activities of all tradespeople who repair and maintain equipment on customer sites.
- Assure a quality product by conducting in-process inspections.
- Take corrective action for improvement by providing counselling when standards are not met.
- Monitor and inspect the workplace.
- Deal with hazards and issues promptly and bring unresolved issues to the next level of management.
- Bring awareness to safety by participating in all Company safety programs.
- Lead toolbox talks and monthly/ weekly safety meetings.
- Timely submission of required documents.
- Communication of information and messages from leadership to the work force, and vice versa.
- Attend customer meetings as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience and proven ability to oversee and coordinate the trades.
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance and repair of hydraulic mining equipment. Komatsu, and Hitachi experience would be an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, with ability to execute complex tasks.
- Good computer skills.
- Good customer communication skills.
- Knowledge of OHSE acts and regulations and equipment inspection requirements.
- Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Self motivated person that takes initiative to solve project management tasks.
