Ywca Facilities Manager

As our Facilities Manager, you'll oversee the maintenance and operation of our housing portfolio, as well as provide support, advice, and guidance on future housing projects.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership, team building and management to the asset clerks and maintenance staff, and ensure that these staff maintain standards and follow established procedures for the efficient and cost-effective fulfillment of work orders
- Ensure that work performed by contractors is well-planned, properly scheduled and monitored
- Develop processes that stress preventative maintenance activity and conduct routine inspections of the YWCA buildings
- Assist in developing operational and capital budgets and work with the Associate Director of Housing to monitor expenses throughout the fiscal year to ensure budget costs are reasonable and variances are remedied or explained
- Standing member of the Occupational Health and Safety committee and responsible for all security, life safety and regulatory requirement of YWCA Housing
- Promote and ensure sustainable operational practices
- Provide expertise and support to future projects
- Respond to complaints regarding the operation of the buildings
- Back up on-call
- Travel to and between housing sites will be required on a regular basis
- Other duties as required
**Qualifications**:
- Related supervisory/management experience for non-profit housing
- Preventative Maintenance experience
- Project management experience
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment, multitask and determine work plans for staff
- Well organized, team player with strong communication skills
- Experience and comfort using Excel, Outlook, One Drive, Sharepoint, Zoom, Safetyline, ADP Workforce Now and Arcori would be an asset
- A valid clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required.
- Successful applicants are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, exemption requests must be supported by valid, legal documents.
