1. Run production in your area:

- Use and create SOP’s for repeat jobs
- Set team goals of job requirements and make sure they are executed
- Communicate with upstream and downstream departments if you have excess labour
- Manage vacation schedules
- Audit Dayforce for employee shifts
- Ensure Quality standards are followed for anything leaving the department
- Ensure 5S system is followed, maintained, and improved

- Weekly summarize metrics with team
- Learn and be able to teach to identify the 7 wastes so team can generate CI ideas

- Hiring and performance management

- Motivate Team members (increase quality standards, reduce Labour, reduce costs)
- Train new employees and discover training needs and provide coaching when required.

- Delegate tasks and set deadlines and follow up
- Fill in for an absent employee or redirect other labor
- Align team with our shop vision:
i. A place where everyone contributes (engaged)
ii. Technicians instead of assemblers, welders, or button pusher
iii. Educated in problem solving, or lean, or other areas
(more educated people solving problems)
iv. Team atmosphere among whole shop
