**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to enhance visual appeal.
- Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene standards by adhering to food safety regulations.
- Package baked goods for sale or service while maintaining quality and freshness.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new dessert offerings and seasonal specials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of baking supplies and ingredients.
**Skills**
- Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in pastry preparation and baking.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with guests.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Proficiency in cake decorating techniques, including fondant, icing, and other decorative elements.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and preparation.
- Familiarity with various kitchen equipment used for baking and food preparation.
