Job Summary

Our Red Deer practice is looking for a Dental Administrator to join our team

We are a progressive, paperless office with high standards of care for both our patients and employees. We are looking for a team player who is enthusiastic about the ever-changing field of dentistry. We do a variety of procedures including implant placement, soft tissue surgery and IV sedation.

The position we are looking to fill is for a permanent position, 32-40 hours per week, some evenings, and weekends. Our practice provides weekend premium wages, scrub tops & opportunities for advancement as well as continuing education.

**Responsibilities**
- Greet patients warmly and manage front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, handling cancellations and rescheduling as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems.
- Process patient intake forms and verify insurance information.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Assist with billing and payment processing, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and provide support as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.

**Experience**
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and administrative procedures in a dental setting is essential.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience with phone systems and front desk operations in a healthcare environment is an advantage.

Pay: $17.35-$29.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- Secondary School (preferred)
