**Cunningham Swan LLP is looking for Law Clerk with legal experience (full-time, permanent)**

Cunningham Swan is a leading law firm in Ontario, recognized for providing high-quality legal services across thirteen practice areas. Our Municipal Law team is dedicated to serving municipalities with expert legal advice and support. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Municipal Law Clerk** to join our team.

**Position Overview**:

- Assist in municipal law matters, including zoning, land use planning, by-law drafting and municipal governance.
- Conduct legal research and compile background materials for municipal hearings, tribunal matters, and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with clients, municipalities, and government agencies regarding municipal and planning matters.
- Manage deadlines and maintain organized municipal files.
- Provide administrative and procedural support to lawyers within the municipal law practice including organization of off-site municipal law events.

**About You**:

- Law Clerk diploma or equivalent education / experience.
- A minimum of five years’ experience as a law clerk, preferably in municipal law, land use planning or real estate.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Planning Act, Municipal Act, Development Charges Act, and related legislation.
- Experience with the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) processes is an asset.
- Excellent research, drafting, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with exceptional ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Pay: $56,000.00-$66,000.00 per year
