**Event Coordinator**
**Job Summary**
The Event Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all events that are scheduled by the Event Manager. The coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:
- Coordinate and execute all events including but not limited to: events, trade shows, conferences, etc.
- Manage and monitor the logistics of all attendees
- Coordinate with venue staff to ensure the smooth flow of events throughout the day
- Schedule and book vendors, food, drinks, and other services as needed
- Manage and monitor attendance at events
- Coordinate with venue staff to ensure event runs smoothly and efficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
**Qualifications**:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in event planning or management preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
**Job Description**:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Event Planner to join our team at J’ Resto. As an Event Planner, you will play a crucial role in organizing and executing various events, ensuring a memorable experience for our clients and their guests. This is a part-time position with a commission-based pay structure and additional compensation for on-site hours.
**Responsibilities**:
- Identify and secure event opportunities by actively prospecting and networking.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements, objectives, and budget.
- Plan and execute events, including venue selection, catering, decor, entertainment, and logistics.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless event operations.
- Manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and handle financial transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry professionals.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the planning and execution process.
- Conduct on-site event management, overseeing event setup, execution, and teardown.
- Ensure events are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, event technologies, and best practices.
- Prepare post-event evaluations and reports to measure event success.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Event Planner or in a related role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique event concepts and ideas.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Compensation:
- Commission-based pay structure for event bookings.
- $20 per hour for on-site hours at events.
- Guaranteed 8 hours per week at $20 per hour.
- Pay frequency: Every two weeks.
