**Job Summary**:
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for directing the activities of the Dextran Products laboratory. The QC Manager provides leadership to Quality Control Analysts and Lab Personnel to meet company objectives while complying with established standards and procedures.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Work in a safe manner wearing necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that is supplied for you.
- Adherence to Workplace Health and Safety Policy and Safe Handling of chemicals.
- Oversee Laboratory activities.
- Ensure smooth and efficient analysis of all products.
- Report analytical or production problems to the Managing Director. In their absence, advise the designate.
- Record details of analysis activities in record books, batch records, and any other necessary locations.
- Ensure that lab equipment and work area is promptly cleaned.
- Assist the Managing Director in the planning of shifts and any changes.
- Deal with Personnel questions and if unable to solve, discuss and solve with the Managing Director.
- Maintains open communication with ALL employees at Dextran Products.
- Creates and maintains the Quality Control procedures and documentation.
- Assists with the QC investigation of customer complaints documentation.
- Assists with the maintenance and completion of customer audit commitments for the Quality Control portion.
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by the Managing Director.

**Qualifications**:

- Four-year degree in Science or related field or approved equivalent experience in a cGMP environment.
- Has knowledge and understanding of cGMP & ICH Q7.
- Knowledge of office systems and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Organized, Thorough, Neat.
- Confidentiality.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Movement
- Standing and walking 67% to 90% percent of the day. Minimal sitting up to 33% of the day.
- Lifting & Moving
- Minimal lifting and moving, pushing and pulling up to 10% of the day. Lifting up to 10 KGS and moving pumps occasionally, some of them being on wheels. Pushing and pulling a pump truck with loads up to 90 KGS.
- Other Movements
- Minimal bending and reaching required throughout shift, up to 10%.
- Speaking, Hearing & Visual
- Must be able to speak clearly and present well to others. Hearing is required consistently throughout shift. Must be able to see, near distant and peripheral objects.
- Environmental
- Seasonal exposure outside, extreme heat exposure 67% to 90% of the day during summer. Exposure to exterior noise as well as internal machinery noise.
- Cognitive - Must learn new policies, procedures, retain and perform tasks assigned. Must maintain focus, be alert and aware at all times.

**Work Hours**:

- Exempt Position; Shift Monday to Friday: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
- Minimum of 40-45 Hours Week, or other agreed upon documented schedule.
- Ability and willingness to work from all BioSpectra facilities.

**Pay**:

- Starting at a minimum of $70,000 annually
