Supermarket Cashier Department Head

**Responsibilities**:

- Recruit, train, and supervise cashier staff.
- Schedule shifts and manage employee timekeeping.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Address any staff issues or disputes.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns.
- Resolve any escalated customer service issues.
- Oversee daily cashier operations and ensure all registers are properly manned.
- Monitor cashier performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct regular cash audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Manage cash flow, including handling deposits and safe drops.
- Ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all store policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain a secure work environment by enforcing loss prevention measures.
- Train staff on security protocols and handle any security incidents.
- Prepare and submit reports on cashier department performance.
- Analyze sales data and provide insights for improvement.
- Collaborate with other department heads to improve overall store performance.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a supervisory role in a supermarket or grocery store.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and other retail software.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be proficient in **Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)**.

**Experience**:

- Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)
