The QAQC Field Assessor & Coordinator for the Earthworks division is responsible for ensuring that all project work meets the required quality standards, is compliant with regulatory requirements, and is delivered within the agreed timelines. During our peak-season, this position will work in the field about 70% of the time and close to 100% of the time in the office during off-season. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with quality standards, identifying, and resolving quality issues, conducting regular audits, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future quality issues. The QAQC Field Assessor & Coordinator prepares ITPs, records, and turnover packages, and can build and streamline processes.

**HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE (RESPONSIBILITIES)**
- Develop and implement quality control procedures and processes
- Work in partnership with the client quality control team to understand the project requirements.
- Conduct on-site inspections as needed
- Create and maintain project ITPs, records, and turnover packages.
- Identify and resolve quality issues, working with cross-functional teams as necessary
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Develop and maintain comprehensive quality reports
- Implement corrective actions to prevent future quality issues
- Train staff on quality control procedures and processes
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

**DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? (REQUIREMENTS)**
- Must have a Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Mechanical & Materials Engineering Technology or Construction Engineering Technology
- 5 years of work experience in a related role on heavy civil projects is required
- Must be able to prepare ITPs, records, and turnover packages
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of root cause analysis problem-solving techniques
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
- Ability to read ISO survey drawings and understand survey methodology.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software programs and technologies.
- Ability to work in the field and in the Acheson, AB office
- Physically fit; successfully pass drug and alcohol and health assessment tests
- Currently living within Canada and eligible to work in Canada
