**Job Overview**

The QA/QC Inspector will report directly to the Quality Lead. The major accountabilities of the Quality Coordinator will be field inspections including, weld inspections, torque witnessing, hydrotest witnessing, witness of closure welds, verification and mapping of driven piles.

**Quality Responsibilities**
- Reviews construction plans and specifications for compliance with project requirements
- Create ITP’s as required by construction plans, client specifications
- Ensures construction activities are carried out in accordance with project requirements and an approved ITP
- Performs weld visual inspections
- Witness of closure welds
- Coordinates NDE inspections
- Verification of NDE reports
- Completes weld mapping as required
- Torque witnessing
- Hydrotest witnessing
- Completes punch lists on mechanical work
- Completion of turnover documentation including AB-83’s
- Liaises with construction and client personnel
- Identifies and investigates any quality control related problems
- Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary

**Qualifications**
- 3+ years of quality inspection experience
- CWB Level II Welding Inspector (W178.2, CSA W47.1/W59, ASME B31.3, CSA Z662)
- Trade qualifications are an asset
- API qualifications are an asset
- Familiar with ASME B31.3, CSA W47.1/W59, CSA Z662
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam
- Familiar with refinery equipment and process piping systems
- Understands quality inspection procedures, tools, and equipment
- Explicit knowledge of products and processes
- Able to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Intermediate skill level in MS Office Package
- Strong coordination and organization skills
- Ability to set and manage priorities to meet all deadlines
- Team player attitude
- Good verbal and written communication skills

**Position Information**
- Shift Rotation: 15/13
- Project site located in Norman Wells, NWT
- Charter flight from Edmonton provided to and from site
- Camp accommodations provided
- Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
